Dell PowerVault MD family offers the perfect balance: the PowerVault MD3000i iSCSI SAN array for storage consolidation, the PowerVault MD3000 modular disk storage array for highly available direct attached
storage, and the PowerVault MD1000 modular disk storage expansion enclosure for simple server expansion. Together, they deliver enterprise capability, scalability, availability, and performance at an
industry-leading price.
Storage Consolidation
The PowerVault MD3000i networked storage array leverages the modularity and availability of the PowerVault series to deliver an IP network storage solution that can consolidate up to 16 hosts. It also
enables high performance and capacity-efficient consolidation without requiring an expensive and complicated Fibre Channel storage network.
Highly Available Storage
The PowerVault MD3000 modular disk storage array offers simplicity, performance, flexibility, and availability for critical applications, particularly two-node clusters. By including two RAID controllers
within its storage device, the PowerVault MD3000 is architected to maximize performance in a highly available solution.
Simplified Expapansion
The PowerVault MD1000’s modular design is engineered for easy expansion, offering pay-as-you-grow flexibility. It can be used in conjunction with a server-based Dell PER RAID controller or as an
expansion module for the PowerVault MD3000 and MD3000i arrays.
Combining simplicity and scalability, the Dell AX4-5 storage arrays deliver performance, expandability, and advanced data management features in a single, easy-to-use storage solution.
Simple, Scalable, and Affordadable
The AX4-5 arrays combine easy-to-use features with the scalability of advanced storage arrays. The AX4-5 can support up to 64 hosts and up to 60 drives across four enclosures to provide the headroom
that will keep up with your data growth.
Flexible Connectivity and Tiered Storage to Meet Your Needs
The AX4-5 enables organizations to choose a network interconnect that is right for their environment. AX4 iSCSI arrays support cost-effective IP networks, while Fibre Channel arrays utilize
high-performance 4 GB/s connections. The AX4-5 can also easily mix SAS drives geared for performance with SATA drives that deliver cost-effective capacity.
Exceptional Data Availability and Reliability
The AX4-5 has inherited many of the advanced software capabilities that have been available on the more advanced CX3 arrays. Its controllers provide end-to-end data integrity as well as continuous
background disk consistency checking.
Ease-of-Use for Simple Deployment and Management
The AX4-5 comes with Navisphere® Express, an intuitive user interface that simplifies installation and operation and allows users to allocate new capacity in seconds.
Optional Advanced Management and Data Replication Software
The optional Navisphere Manager Suite can help meet the needs of growing and distributed organizations. Users can manage multiple Dell/EMC arrays from a single console. EMC SnapView offers
point-in-time snapshots and full-volume copies of critical data. For Fibre Channel models, EMC® MirrorView and SAN Copy enable data replication and migration between arrays.
